FEAMM that was constituted in 1982 acts as an element linking the different associations making it up: AGMMA, ASAMM, ASCAMM, ASVAMM, ASVEMA, ACOVEMM, IRUMOLD, MATRICAN giving rise to the exchanging of experiences between them at the same time as it represents the sector before the Government and is firmly within the international associative movement through the ISTMA (International Special Tooling and Machining Association), forming part of its directing organs and participating in all its activities (standardization, unification of nomenclatures and terminologies, attention to training programmes and programmes for incorporating new technologies, exchanging of information of the situation of the sector in the different member countries, etc...), and also taking care of all the aspects related to the image of the sector and promoting it in markets abroad.

To remain competitive in today’s market, the mould and die manufacturers of FEAMM, in addition to promoting their companies through the introduction of new technology, increasing the qualifications of their employees, implementing quality assurance systems, and improving installations, have also set up a Technology Centre which serves as a support to increase competitiveness, through the technological services provided and testing of the moulds and dies made.
