The Sector
The introduction of new technologies related to the design and manufacture of moulds is practically a common fact, which, together with the above-mentioned characteristics, means that their products are first grade and highly competitive. The production design is most varied, with the automation, household appliance, electrical, electronic, kitchen-ware and toy sectors standing out.
It is estimated that in 2006, the sector gave employment to approximately 10.000 people, its production was closer to 725 million Euros, and more than 29% were destined to export, being the most industrialised countries from the world the main receivers of spanish moulds and dies.
